Disability Matters, a major six-year pan-national programme of disability and health research, is being funded by a Wellcome Trust Discretionary Award.

Jacqui Getfield’s experiences as a Black mother of twins with autism exposed gaps between marginalized communities and experts. Today, this experience has led to her work as an equity, diversity, accessibility, and inclusion consultant and an adjunct professor.

Organized by Professor Njoki Wane and her team of OISE graduate students, the Black/African Feminisms Conference brought together 200+ participants from around the globe to discuss issues vital to communities and people of African ancestry, particularly women.

Nan La grew up in a small Tibetan village and saw education as his gateway to the world. Despite extensive schooling, he never felt fully satisfied—until he arrived at OISE.
